Yesterday we told you how Brian McFadden had thrown a strop because Westlife refuse to reform with him, thus allegedly denying him a large sum of money - and there's more bad news if you're a fan of Irish boybands.

Boyzone are planning to celebrate their 25th anniversary in 2018 with a new album and a tour later this year, but after that they will be calling it a day, according to Ronan Keating

The Dubliners' last album was 2014's 'Dublin to Detroit' but their forthcoming release - their seventh album since 1994 - will be their last.

Keating - along with Shane Lynch and Keith Duffy - made the announcement on Instagram last night, sharing the same picture which was captioned: 'The news is out and yes, it's true: our new album will be the last for Boyzone. We've had twenty-five amazing years and we promise you that this will be our biggest and best year yet. Watch this space... #BZ25'.

Well, that's one way to shift tickets, anyway. Cynical, us?
