Adele, PJ Harvey and Lana Del Rey collected Ivor Novello awards at yesterday's ceremony in London. The Ivor Novellos have always been regarded among musicians as one of the highest honours they can receive and, as the official website states, "are judged and presented by the writing community and for over 50 years have been given annually to outstanding songwriters and composers."

Adele's recent good fortune continued at the ceremony, as she won the PRS for Music Most Performed Work award for 'Rolling In The Deep', as well as Songwriter of the Year which will sit nicely beside the six Grammys she won earlier this year.

PJ Harvey scooped the Best Album award for her magnificent Let England Shake, while Lana Del Rey won Best Contemporary Song for 'Video Games'. Best song Musically and Lyrically was won by Ed Sheeran for 'The A Team'.

Spandau Ballet were honoured with the Outstanding Song Collection award, while Take That were noted for their Outstanding Contribution to Music.
