Bruno Mars and Kendrick Lamar may have cleaned up at the Grammys last night, but one award proved a little more controversial in nature.

The nominees for 'Best New Artist' included breakout r'n'b singer SZA, rapper Lil Uzi Vert, pop star Julia Michaels and r'n'b singer Khalid - along with pop star Alessia Cara, who eventually ended up winning.

The problem is, as many have pointed out, that the 21-year-old Canadian has been around since 2014 and released her debut album in 2015 - so describing her as a 'New' artist is factually incorrect.

There were a lot of angry SZA fans on Twitter to point out just that...
