Kanye West has revealed that his fifth studio album, the tentatively titled 'Good Ass Job', will be released in September.

Andre Harrell, the founder of Uptown Records announced via Twitter, "Went to Kanye new soho liar to here his album, the college drop out has graduated in to full grown rap star. Black strong. Sept 14 yazee!!!"

That's September 14th in the US, suggesting an Irish release date of Friday September 10th.

'Good Ass Job' follows 2008's '808s And Heartbreak' and will reportedly include the production skills of Q-Tip, Pete Rock and Wu Tang Clan's RZA. The first single to be taken from the album is 'Power' featuring Dwele, which samples King Crimson's 1969 song '21st Century Schizoid Man'.

Kanye has also made the news this week with a copyright infringement lawsuit that has been filed against him. Songwriter and producer Vincent 'Vince P.' Peters has accused Kanye of copying large portions from his song 'Stronger' for his 2007 hit of the same name. Peters claims his song was written in 2006, and that he gave a copy of it to music manager John Monopoly, who is a business associate of West's. Peters is seeking undisclosed damages and a trial by jury.

Kanye performed his new single live at the 10th annual BET Awards ceremony on Sunday, where Alicia Keys and Nicki Minaj topped the award winners list with two gongs each.
