Musician Joe Cocker has died at the age of 70 after a battle with cancer.
The husky-voice English singer, born in Sheffield in 1944, had a long and successful career but was best known for his cover of 'With a Little Help from My Friends', his duet with Jennifer Warnes on 'Up Where We Belong' (from the film 'An Officer and a Gentleman') and his 1975 hit 'You Are So Beautiful'.
His agent confirmed that he had been suffering from lung cancer and succumbed to his illness last night.
