Morrissey has come under fire in recent days for his controversial comments regarding Harvey Weinstein and Kevin Spacey, but his latest target may be something that resonates with more people.
Speaking to German newspaper Der Spiegel, he was asked his thoughts on Donald Trump - and with his band having worn 'F**k Trump' t-shirts on stage in the past, it came as no surprise that they were not favourable.
Once again, he criticised his current go-to whipping boys - the media - specifically accusing the American media of 'creating' Trump.
“Trump has received so much attention, especially when compared to other candidates – Bernie Sanders, for example," he said. "Although the media said he would not win, every day, all the headlines: Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump!
“The American media helped Trump, yes - they first created it. “Whether they criticise him or laugh at him, he does not care, he just wants to see his picture and his name. The American media have shot themselves in the leg. Since he has been in power, he has exhausted the world. He grabs after everything like a little child. He is not a leader. He is vermin.”
When asked whether if there was a button that he could push that would make the POTUS die, he said "I would, for the safety of humanity. It has nothing to do with my personal opinion of his face or his family, but in the interest of humanity I would push.”
