More Gigs!

It's a pretty good week for gig announcements really. The words "giggity giggity" come to mind, but as we all know, that means something else entirely.

L.A. rockers The Airborne Toxic Event yesterday announce that they will play The Academy, Dublin, on Sunday May 3rd as part of their forthcoming European tour. Tickets priced €15 are on sale now.

Moody NYC-based singer/songwriter and self-professed industry outcast Jay Brannan will play Crawdaddy on May 6th. Tickets are priced €15/€12.

Atlanta "flower-punk" garageniks Black Lips will stop off on Crawdaddy on May 22nd while touring their 5th album "200 Million Thousand". Support comes from Mika Miko. Tickets are €15.

Welsh noiseniks Future Of The Left are to play a show in the Academy 2, on Sunday 17th May. Tickets are €12.

Cork's Live At The Marquee series has announced that Tracy Chapman will play on June 22nd with tickets priced €44.20 going on sale next Monday March 30th. They also announced that the following day, June 23rd, supergroup Chickenfoot will play, a band which features ex-Van Halen mambers Sammy Hagar and Michael Anthony, Joe Satriani and Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith. Tickets priced €44.20 go on sale on Tuesday March 31st
