It's one of the biggest Christmas songs of all time, and has made Mariah Carey a very wealthy woman.
Did you know, however, that 'All I Want for Christmas' was written on a 'junky little keyboard', according to the woman herself?
Carey sat down to discuss the song, her career and her new Apple TV+ Christmas special with Zane Lowe, where she revealed some tidbits about (arguably) her most famous song, released in 1994.
"I’m not saying it’s the world’s greatest thing, but it makes me happy," she said. "And it’s made a lot of other people happy. And when I see people dancing in the streets to the song and having these big, huge festivals, and they’re playing it, it’s what holidays mean to me. It’s the memories. It’s being around the people. It’s the song that takes you through the memories that you can create your own new memories from.”
'All I Want for Christmas is You' is currently at #2 in the UK singles charts and at #10 in the Irish charts.
She also spoke about her song 'Oh Santa', which has been re-done with Jennifer Hudson and Ariana Grande as special guests.

"I went to Jermaine [Dupri] and I was like, 'I wanna do a fun, uptempo Christmas song," she recalled, adding that she was going for a 'Supremes vibe'. "It was never super-serious; it was fun, festive," she said. "To me, those are the best type of Christmas songs - when you don't have to think so much about it."
