It's been three years since Lorde released her world-beating debut album 'Pure Heroine', and needless to say, her fans are getting antsy for new material.
So much so, in fact, that they've started getting snarky when she posts pictures of herself on holidays to Instagram.
When she posted the below picture yesterday, someone wrote underneath: "Do you think we'll ever get another album or should we just give up on you as an artist?". Ouch.
The 19-year-old singer responded: "Give up on me if you want to! I'm an artist, I write a record when I have enough special stories to tell, and it's all me, every melody every lyric, not some team who just start the machine up every eighteen months like clockwork. The record is written, we're in the production stage now. I've worked like a dog for a year making this thing great for you guys."
Although both comments have since been deleted, it undoubtedly left something of a sour taste in Lorde's mouth... although a sunset horse ride on the beach probably helped her get over it.
