Obscure pop fans will know that one Mr. Eddie Murphy released an album all the way back in the 1980's.

The hit single, Party All The Time, was used in Grand Theft Auto 5's soundtrack. Murphy co-produced said track with none other than "Cocaine is a helluva drug" Rick James.

It was, sadly, Murphy's only hit and as we know, Eddie Murphy's output has deteriorated in recent years, save for the odd blip here and there.

So, are we going to see a Matthew McConaughey career upswing for him in 2015? Probably not.

He is, however, back making music. Except it's not synth-driven power pop. It's reggae.

Murphy is good mates with one Snoop Dogg and did a track with him in 2013. This, however, appears to be a solo effort.

Oh Jah Jah is that kind of bouncy, enjoyable reggae music that plays in a seedy bar in Spain that has amazing beer on draught that you can't get anywhere else.

We actually kinda like it.

Have a listen!
