It would indeed seem that David Bowie's obsession with Elvis runs a little deeper than previously thought. They do share a birthday, after all.

Bowie's after channeling the King in a Christmas message picked up by BBC6 radio yesterday. They were led to believe it's him as it was sent on by his 'people'. Really, it could be anyone.

For those of you unable to hear the audio for whatever reason, call Elvis into your head and get him to read the following: "Hello everybody, this is David Bowie making a telephone call from the US of A. At this time of the year I can't help but remember my British...ness and all the jolly British folk, so here's to you and have yourselves a Merry little Christmas and a Happy New Year. Ah thank you ver' much"

And then you can hear him tentatively lower his background music on his MAC.
