If you're a certified dog-lover, you may already be familiar with Cat Stevens/Yusuf Islam's 1966 song 'I Love My Dog'.

The song was the first track that the musician ever released and is a sweet little ditty basically about how much better dogs are than humans (a sentiment we wholeheartedly agree with) - with lyrics like "I love my dog as much as I love you / But you may fade, my dog will always come through".

Now, the singer has re-recorded a new version of it to release on acetate via Jack White's Third Man Records label, after striking up a friendship with him when they met at a gig during the summer. It also comes with very cool artwork via Jess Rotter.
