Today marks what would have been David Bowie's 71st birthday, and to celebrate, an early demo of one of his biggest commercial hits has been released.
'Let's Dance' was Bowie's collaboration with producer Nile Rodgers of Chic, and when released in 1983 it went to number 1 in the UK, US and numerous other countries.
Now, this early demo - which was recorded a year earlier in a Swiss studio - has been unveiled, showing just how the song developed over the subsequent year.
On it, there are no backing vocals but the structure of the track and Bowie's vocal remains very similar.
