It goes without saying that last month's tragic events in Orlando struck a chord with people all around the world - and now a number of pop stars have joined forces to raise money for the victims of the Pulse nightclub massacre.
Britney Spears, P!nk, Selena Gomez, Troye Sivan, Adam Lambert, Mary J. Blige, MNEK, Gwen Stefani, Jennifer Lopez, Jason Derulo, Halsey, Nate Ruess and more have teamed up to collaborate on a new charity single called 'Hands', which was the brainchild of songwriter Justin Tranter, who was on tour with Selena Gomez when the shooting occurred. When he volunteered at the local LGBT centre, Billboard reports, he was told “We need as many hands as we can possibly get."
Tranter co-wrote the song with Julia Michaels (Justin Bieber, Demi Lovato) and it was co-produced by Mark Ronson.
All profits from the song will go to Equality Florida Pulse Victims Fund, the GLBT Community Center of Central Florida and GLAAD.
