Well here's some pretty exciting news to come across of a Friday afternoon: LCD Soundsytem's James Murphy and co-founder of DFA Records will looks set to perform a DJ set in Dublin's Sugar Club next Thursday 29th August.
The Recession Session will also feature sets from Billy Scurry and Ireland's DFA representative Shit Robot (who also hosts the evening). Doors to the show will open at 9pm and the cost of entry is €12. Please note that James Murphy hasn't been officially announced but it's heavily hinted on the event's poster (see below).
Murphy folded LCD Soundsystem after a massive farewell show in New York's Madison Square Garden in April 2011 and has been keeping himself busy with DJ tours (such as his slot at the recent Body & Soul festival), record producing (the upcoming Arcade Fire album) and film and play scoring.
*We understand that this event is now sold out but there could be a very limited number of tickets on the door post 10pm*
