Laura Marling will make her return to an Irish stage when she plays the Olympia Theatre on Sunday 29th September next, as part of the tour for her most recent release 'Once I Was An Eagle'.
The English songstress was barely out of high school when the songs that became her debut EP, My Manic and I, began hitting Myspace and turning heads. Her voice and lyrics were more evocative of someone twice her age, and her nuanced songwriting, played out primarily on guitar was closer in spirit and accomplishment to female heroes like Joni Mitchell. Virgin Records soon signed Marling for her first full length debut album, 'Alas I Cannot Swim'.
