Lady Gaga has carved out a slice of Internet history for herself by becoming the first person to reach twenty million followers on social networking website Twitter.
Ashton Kutcher was, a couple of years ago, the first person to accrue one million followers and Gaga's massive numbers demonstrate just how much the micro-blogging site has exploded in popularity.
Justin Bieber is currently a couple of million behind Gaga in second place, with Britney Spears, Katy Perry and Shakira completing the top five.
