Irish concert organizers Grooveyard have lost $320,000 paid to a company that falsely claimed to represent Lady GaGa, according to reports.
Following the promotion of concerts in Dublin and Belfast, Grooveyard received cease and desist letters from worldwide promoters AEG Live, who claimed they have the sole authority to book Lady GaGa for shows.
Now, Grooveyard are suing Manhattan's American Talent Agency, the New York based company they paid, not only for their money back, but also for damages, to the amount of $1million.
At any rate, Grooveyard have postponed the Konvict Musik Tour, at which Lady GaGa was supposed to appear 'due to unforeseen circumstances over the availability of one of the artists on the line up.' The gigs were scheduled to take place at The O2, Dublin, on October 18th, and the Odyssey Arena, Belfast, on October 19th. Grooveyard and Konvict Musik 'expect to have this issue resolved promptly and fans are advised to stay tuned to Ticketmaster.ie and local radio stations for updates'.
