Considering that he's a pretty huge star that has been a mainstay of the pop world for the last decade or so, it's hard to imagine Justin Timberlake as the mop-topped teen who first came to prominence in 'N Sync.
However, Mr. JT made his name as a member of the boyband, and now he's discussed why he quit it in 2002.
Although the band were officially on a 'hiatus' (*coughcoughOneDirectionfanscough*), Timberlake told The Hollywood Reporter that he had basically just gotten sick of being in the group, which he joined at 14 and quit when he was 21.
"We were on a stadium tour, and I just felt like the whole thing was too big," he said. "It started as a fun snowball fight that was becoming an avalanche. And, also, I was growing out of it.
“I felt like I cared more about the music than some of the other people in the group. I felt like I had other music I wanted to make and that I needed to follow my heart.”
So, now you know.
