We as reported yesterday, musician Casey Dienel (Winter Hinterland) has filed a lawsuit against Justin Bieber, Skrillex and others for copyright infringement.
She claims Justin stole the vocal riff from her 2014 song ‘Ring the Bell’ for his hit ‘Sorry’, which was produced by Skrillex and others.
The pair have both taken to twitter to refute the claim, with the producer making a 30 second video explaining how the the riff for Sorry was created:
SORRY but we didnt steal this ðŸ™Â?ðŸÂ?» @justinbieber @bloodpop pic.twitter.com/9897j9sfY7
— SKRILLEX (@Skrillex) May 27, 2016
Bieber then added:
#wedontsteal @Skrillex @bloodpop #sorry :) https://t.co/57rNU274Up

The lawsuit has not yet made it to court, but we’ll be following the case closely to see what happens.
