Bon Jovi may not be to everyone's taste, but at least frontman Jon Bon Jovi calls a spade a spade.
He did just that last night, when his band were playing the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh.
Unfortunately for fans who were expecting a 2.5 hour show, Bon Jovi pulled it an hour early, blaming a cold that he has had in recent days.
The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported that he said: "I think I’m singing like shit tonight, and I apologise - but I’m gonna keep pushing on and if you stick it out with me, I’ll stick it out with you.”
Although guitarist Phil X joined in on vocals on some songs, the show was wrapped after 1.5 hours as the band finished on 'Livin' on a Prayer'. Their publicist later confirmed Bon Jovi's illness. "The show wrapped after an hour and a half, as Jon explained, because a cold turned worse,” they confirmed. “This has been widely reported. Despite his illness, he gave his all.”
Watch their final song 'Livin' on a Prayer' and judge his voice for yourself:
