It's already time to start thinking about Eurovision - and the shortlist for Ireland's Eurosong has just been unveiled.
Six acts will compete to represent us in Liverpool on May 13th - and one of them is already a familiar face.
John Lydon aka Sex Pistols frontman Johnny Rotten will compete with his other band Public Image Ltd. (aka PiL), in news that has surprised many.
Lydon's parents hail from Cork and Galway, and he even titled his 1994 autobiography 'Rotten: No Irish, No Blacks, No Dogs' in a reference to the infamous signs posted in some shops in England in the 1960s and 1970s.
PiL's song 'Hawaii' is a song dedicated to his wife Nora, who has Alzheimer's Disease, and is described as “a pensive, personal yet universal love song that will resonate with many”.
The other names on the shortlist - which was revealed on Ryan Tubridy's radio show this morning - are as below:
Wild Youth - 'We Are One'
ADGY - 'Too Good for Your Love'
Connolly - 'Midnight Summer Love'
Leila Jane - 'Wild'
K Muni & ND - 'Down in the Rain'
The winning song will be selected on a Late Late Show Eurosong Special, which will take place on February 3rd.
