The former LCD Soundsystem man, who is producing the Canadian rockers' new album, says that his work is done.
In an interview with Billboard, Murphy said that the record - due in October - was "the food I eat and the air I breathe" but that he's finally satisfied that his work is complete.
"Producing is always really hard", said Murphy. "You can never tell who's going to be easy to along with and who's going to be difficult. So I wasn't sure what was going to be the case, since there's a lot of them. I figured, they're all super talented, do they need another dude there with his opinions? It turned out it was really nice and everyone was amazingly respectful of one another."
"I am officially done with it", continued Murphy. "We've just been passing things back and forth making choices on mixes."
Arcade Fire have released an album every three years since their debut record Funeral in 2004. Neon Bible followed that in 2007 and 2010's The Suburbs.
The first taste of the new album will come when 'something', which we assume to be a single, will hit the web on September 9th.
