Those of us who love the work of the wayward bohemian Anthony Reynolds have watched anxiously as he veers between Jack, a six-piece glam goth band which has made two superb albums and Jacques, his more self indulgent side project. To Stars is a fragmented record of faded glamour, like dreaming about the cinema screen as the landlord kicks down the door. A distinguished by Reynolds' intensely mournful, sometimes savage lyrics.
