2016 is only 8 days old, and it's already shaping up to be a good year for Jack Garratt.

The young English musician has been announced as winner of the BBC Sound of 2016 poll, beating the likes of Alessia Cara, Nao, Blossoms and WSTRN to top the list of acts that are set to make a big splash in 2016.

It's the second award of its kind to be presented to Garratt, after he was also named the BRIT Critics' Choice winner for 2016. No pressure, then.

He releases his debut album 'Phase' on February 19th and plays Dublin's Academy on March 30th.
