Former Oasis/Beady Eye frontman Liam Gallagher is rumoured to be forming a supergroup of-sorts with The Who's Roger Daltrey this week, for a special 90-minute 'comeback' episode of TFI Friday.

It's going out this Friday, June 5th at 9pm on Channel 4, and will see Gallagher and Daltrey joined by Ian Broudie (The Lightning Seeds) on guitar and Zak Starkey (Oasis/Beady Eye) on drums for a rendition of 'My Generation' - a song that Oasis have covered in the past.

A source told The Sun newspaper: "Liam's got a bit of time on his hands since Beady Eye called it a day last year so he fancied trying his hand at something new. He's told his mates he's pretty bored. Other than Noel, you would be hard pushed to find a better set of bandmates than Roger, Ian and Zak. It's a proper supergroup and the performance will be something to remember."

Other musical guests on the show include Blur, Years & Years, Mani (Primal Scream/Stone Roses) and Rudimental.

Whether this new 'supergroup' will continue past this Friday remains to be seen.
