The first Irish-language music festival that was due to take place in Dublin next month has been postponed.

Ravelóid was scheduled for Ardgillan Castle in Balbriggan on June 10th and 11th, with acts like Delorentos, Seo Linn, The Riptide Movement, Kíla, Ham Sandwich, Mundy, Heathers and more set to play.

The festival will now not take place in 2016, with organisers blaming "a number of production factors" on the postponement.

"The goodwill shown to Ravelóid among the general public, especially over the last few weeks, both nationally and internationally, has proven that there is a strong demand for a contemporary Irish language music festival," they said. "The Board will be working in the coming months on an alternative date."

Those who purchased tickets will receive a full refund in the coming weeks, they said.
