Irish language band Seo Linn - who you'll more than likely know from their cover of Avicii's 'Wake Me Up' as Gaeilge, with Gaeltacht college Colaiste Lurgan - have launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise money for their debut album.

The Galway/Dublin-based band have already clocked up an impressive €28,000 of their goal at time of writing, but have 8 days to go to push for their grand total of €50,000.

With the money they raise, they aim to set up a company that provides music workshops that incorporate the Irish language for teenagers, as well as record their album and fund a tour.

Backers have various price points and rewards to choose from - from a €2 thank-you on Twitter, to a poster for €20 and rather oddly, being filmed having a litre of milk poured over your head by a band member for €30.

You can also buy music sessions with band members (€300), Skype gigs (€150) and have the band record a song of your choice for €6,000.

If you want to help them along the way, you can add to their tally here.

The band will also be busking on Dublin's Grafton Street from around 11am tomorrow to publicise their campaign.
