London indie band The Maccabees have announced that they are to split after 14 years together.

The quintet released four albums over their lifespan, the most recent being 'Marks to Prove It', released in 2015.

They called the decision to split "an incredibly difficult one", but said that there had been no arguments or falling-out amongst the band members.
