Imelda May has revealed further details of her forthcoming T-Bone Burnett-produced album.
As you may know, it's called 'Life. Love. Flesh. Blood.' and will be released on April 7th.
The record was written in the wake of the break-up of her marriage, so you can expect suitably heartache-laced numbers - including 'Black Tears', which features Jeff Beck and was penned "after a heart wrenchingly difficult goodbye, according to May. "I closed my door and caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror with black tears rolling down my face. It's a sight and situation most women have unfortunately seen ourselves in at some point in life."
Other collaborators on the album include Jools Holland and Zach Dawes of Mini Mansions/The Last Shadow Puppets.
She'll be touring in support of the album, with both Bord Gais Energy Theatre dates selling out - however, she has just added a third date on Wednesday, May 31st, with tickets on sale from usual outlets next Friday at 9am.
