If you happened to be in the Grafton Street branch of HMV recently, you'll have noticed the signs saying that they were soon going to relocate; H&M-owned fashion outlet & Other Stories is moving into the unit at number 27, which the music retailer has occupied since re-opening under new ownership.

Well, the relocation has happened - and the new store at number 72 (where the Karen Millen store used to be) opens this Saturday, June 13th at 9am.

To celebrate, there'll be a number of one-day-only offers including 40% off all vinyl, discounts on headphones (Beats, Sennheiser, Mixr, etc.), turntables and games consoles, and more.

There'll also be in-store performances by Little Hours (at 2pm) and HamsandwicH (at 3pm).

Larry Howard, CEO of Hilco Capital Ireland, which owns HMV, said: We’re thrilled to have secured this new premises on Dublin’s most popular retail street. The relocation marks the continuation of our expansion plans, and we’re looking forward to continuing to deliver the best choice in music, movies, games and technology on Grafton Street.

“It’s particularly apt that HMV is moving to No. 72 Grafton Street – a location that has historically been a home for entertainment on the street. The building originally housed the Grafton Cinema, which opened in 1911, and entertained the people of Dublin until finally closing its doors in December 1973. It’s very fitting that HMV is bringing entertainment back to this iconic building.”
