Record Store Day is just over a week away, and independent music stores around Ireland are accordingly gearing up for the annual celebration.

Being Ireland's largest independent record store, Tower Records on Dublin's Dawson Street always lays on a decent spread of merch and entertainment, and this year is no different.

Playing live instore throughout the day (Saturday, April 16th) from 12pm - 6pm will be September Girls, Fangclub, Wolff, Black Bank Folk and The Young Folk.

Radio station TXFM will be broadcasting live in-store throughout the day, there'll be donuts from Aungier Danger and coffee from Clement & Pekoe, and every person that buys an RSD title will be entered into a draw to win a snazzy REGA turntable.

Oh yes - and there's the records to be bought, too.

Some of this year's RSD titles that Tower will be stocking include:

David Bowie - The Man Who Sold The World picture disc LP / TVC15 7” picture disc

Foals - Rain/Daffodils 7”

Clint Mansell - Requiem For A Dream OST

Glen Hansard - A Season on the Line LP

Madonna - Like A Virgin & Other Big Hits LP

The Doors - France / America 2016 LP

Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds - El Mexicano (The Reflex ‘La Revolucion’ Remixes) 12”

RSD runs in conjunction with their 'Vinyl Destination' sale, which will see albums like Van Morrison's Astral Weeks, Kendrick Lamar's 'To Pimp a Butterfly' and The Beatles' 'Sgt. Pepper's...' retailing from as low as €8. That's kicking off today and running for the next 10 days.
