As you may have heard, the surviving members of Nirvana got together at the weekend for a special gig.
Dave Grohl, Krist Novoselic and touring guitarist Pat Smear were joined by Grohl's teenage daughter Violet, as well as St. Vincent and Beck, for the one-off show.
The five-song set was part of the 2020 Art of Elysium Gala charity fundraiser. It saw the supergroup play the Nirvana songs 'Heart-Shaped Box' (sung by Violet Grohl), while St. Vincent sang 'Lithium'. Beck took the lead on 'In Bloom' and 'Been a Son', as well as on their cover of David Bowie's 'The Man Who Sold the World' (also sung by Beck.)
However, the so-called reunion has divided opinion amongst Nirvana fans, who have denounced the reunion without frontman Kurt Cobain.
Bassist Krist Novoselic simply said that the remaining members 'couldn't resist the temptation'. He had previously played with Grohl and Smear (who are, of course, members of Foo Fighters) at a gig last October - although it wasn't billed as a Nirvana reunion.
