Villagers, David Holmes and Iain Archer have all come up trumps at the Ivor Novello Awards in their respective categories.

The prestigious awards are taking place at Grosvenor House in London this afternoon, and it has just been announced that Conor O'Brien has won the 'Best Album' award for his third album 'Darling Arithmetic'.

Earlier, David Holmes was awarded 'Best Television Soundtrack' for his work on TV series London Spy with Keefus Ciancia, and Iain Archer's co-writing credit on 'Hold Back the River' by James Bay was awarded the PRS for Most Performed Work award.

Other winners thus far have included Jamie Lawson's 'Wasn't Expecting That' for Best Song Musically & Lyrically, The Happy Mondays for the Ivors Inspiration Award and Adele was named Songwriter of the Year.
