Get ready for a flood of fresh Westeros tunes coming your way, as a 'Game of Thrones' soundtrack is coming.
As we rapidly approach the beginning of the final season on April 14th, everything that you can imagine will have a "winter is coming" slogan tacked onto it. From whiskey, to running trainers, hell even mobile phones now have something to do with HBO's hit fantasy series. And now we have a 'Game of Thrones' soundtrack making its way to us.
The forthcoming album, which will be named 'For the Throne (Music Inspired by the HBO Series Game of Thrones)' will be releasing on April 26th.
A whole host of great talent are set to feature on the new album too. Travis Scott, The Weeknd, Lumineers, Ellie Goulding, A$AP Rocky, Mumford & Sons, SZA, X Ambassadors, Jacob Banks, Rosalia, The National, Lil Peep, Matthew Bellamy, and James Arthur are all lined up for the soundtrack.
And from the extremely brief sample we've been given so far, the soundtrack is going to be put on loop in the entertainment.ie office as soon as it comes out.
'For the Throne' will be available in 11 different vinyl covers, with all nine houses represented through limited edition cover art. However, these vinyl versions won't be released until July 26th. Those interested in grabbing as much 'Game of Thrones' merch as possible, can pre-order the album here.
