Okay, get ready for this one. Flaming Lips' enigmatic frontman Wayne Coyne inadvertently caused the closure of an entire terminal of Will Rogers Airport in Oklahoma. The reason for this? Coyne accidentally packed a GRENADE in his carry-on luggage.
Coyne insisted that the grenade, which was dead, had been given to him as a gift at a party and he had forgotten about it. This didn't come as much of a relief to the airport TSA staff, who were panicked because a bomb expert wasn't on duty at the time of the alarm.
While this all sounds like a bit of a lark, numerous passengers missed their flights because of the incident with one even having to shell out $1,000 for new tickets.
Coyne later Tweeted an apology: " Sorry Sorry Sorry!! Everyone that was inconvenienced by my grenade at OKC airport."
