Further to our news story this morning, those fine folk over at MCD have a slew of excellent events coming up over the next few months, with the likes of Ellie Goulding, James Arthur, Status Quo and more all coming to our shores.
Ellie Goulding will play The O2 in Dublin on Saturday 1st March. The Hereford-born singer-songwriter has had a huge year, scoring her first ever #1 single 'Burn' and selling countess copies of her 'Halcyon Days' album. Tix for this are priced at €36.
The original line-up of Status Quo will also play The O2, with their appearance slotted in on 12th April next. This is billed as their last ever show in this venue (last ever Irish show, in that case?) so those of you fond of a little Rockin' All Over The World would be silly not to get your hands on tickets for €49.65.
It'll be all cowboy hats and denim at The O2 on the weekend of Friday 14th and Saturday 14th March when the Country 2 Country tour hits Dublin. Dixie Chicks, Zac Brown Band, Brad Painsley and Rascal Flatts are all set to appear over the course of the two days. Tickets are on sale from 11th October, for €49.50 per day or €89 for the two.
X-Factor winner James Arthur will take his show to the Olympia Theatre in Dublin and the Cork Opera House next 3rd and 4th of February respectively. Arthur, whose single 'Impossible' is arguably the biggest selling X-Factor single ever, will release a debut album via Simon Cowell's label Syco at the start of November and will be hoping for a repeat success of his single sales. Tickets are in the region of €30.
Walking On Cars will also play three shows in two days at Dublin's Academy. An all-ages show will take place on 8th December, with the previous night's regular show in the same venue sold out and will then shower off and do it all again the same night - but this time you can buy beer. Tickets are €10.
