This Arthur's Day, we've taken all the stress and strain out of which band or musician to look out for. However, there's one issue. Nobody knows where they're playing. In keeping with Arthur's Day tradition, these acts won't be announcing WHERE their gigs are until the very last minute so you'll just have to keep it here on entertainment.ie for when we get the scoop.

5. Bobby Womack

Soul legend Bobby Womack may more familiar to younger people from his collaborations with Gorillaz, but he's got a huge back catalogue that's worth checking out. Not only that, his song 'Across 110th Street' was used in Quentin Tarantino's Jackie Brown. Hardcore music / film nerds will know he originally wrote the song for another film and that's where the title comes from.

4. Biffy Clyro

The much-tattooed Scotsmen have been over and back recently to Ireland and when they play, they're usually the loudest gig you'll hear for years to come. Get all on this like right now.

3. James Vincent McMorrow

A soft, measured musician like James Vincent McMorrow is the perfect act for something like Arthur's Day. What we mean is that it's a small, intimate gig when you can hear the full measure of his talent from ten feet away. This is a great little track from his album, 'Early In The Morning'.

2. Le Galaxie

We've got a stream of their new track, Lucy Is Here, up on the site that you need to hear like right now. These night-driving, electro-pop monsters have been knocking it out of the park with every gig they've done and get better and better each them they do it. Glowsticks at the ready.

1. Janelle Monae

Her latest album, The Electric Lady, is fast becoming one of our favourite albums of 2013 and it's not hard to see why. Slick, polished and absolutely funk, Monae's unique brand of hip-hop, 70's funk and science-fiction is too cool to ignore. Here's the performance on David Letterman a few years ago that put her on the map.
