Speculation is mounting that The Avalanches are finally about to release their long-awaited second album after a number of their social media platforms have been updated.
The Australian band created what many would call a modern electronica/trip-hop/indie classic with their 2000 debut 'Since I Left You' - an album that spawned huge hits with the title track and 'Frontier Psychiatrist' and its use of sampling known as 'plunderphonics'.
Since then, news of a follow-up have periodically emerged but nothing concrete has come to fruition.
However, the updating of their Facebook and Twitter accounts - and the opening of an Instagram account - all bearing the same image (below) has led many to believe that new material is imminent.
