Fans and figures from the world of music have been paying tribute to Roxette frontwoman Marie Frederiksson, whose death was announced yesterday.
The Swedish singer had been battling brain cancer in recent years and was 61 when she died on Sunday. She leaves behind husband Micke and their two children, Inez and Oscar.
She formed the pop-rock duo Roxette with Per Gessle in 1986 and they went on to have huge success with songs like 'Joyride', 'It Must Have Been Love' and 'The Look'.

Time goes by so quickly. It’s not that long ago we spent days+nights in my tiny apartment sharing impossible dreams. And what a dream we eventually got to share! I’m honoured to have met your talent+generosity. All my love goes to you+your family. Things will never be the same. pic.twitter.com/CTegAUGrXG
