It's been  a while since Dublin band The Jimmy Cake released an album - seven years since 2008's 'Spectre and Crown', in fact.

Now, the self-described "instrumental-prog-post-space-rock" band will release their fourth album 'Master' later this month.

It's comprised of three tracks spread across 72 minutes, and is allegedly their "most ambitious and bloody-minded project to date."

The album is out on August 28th, and they'll launch it with a gig at Dublin's Hangar on August 29th, with special guest drummer Charles Hayward (This Heat) and support from Twinkranes.

Tickets are €13.50 including booking fee, and on sale via this link.
