Since I've been obsessively listening to their fantastic debut album 'Man Alive' on repeat since its release in August I'm a bit grumpy that the English "art" rockers Everything Everything are making the trek to Ireland for an intimate Other Voices show in Dingle's St James' Church but not hanging around for ANY OTHER IRISH DATES. Grumble. Those of you who picked up tickets for Other Voices next Monday December 6th are in for a treat when they play alongside Smoke Fairies, ASIWYFA, James Vincent McMorrow and Lissie. The rest of us will have to make do with a live stream the band are webcasting of their sold out show at London's Union Chapel on December 15th, where they'll be joined by students from the Royal Northern College of Music.
The stream will be particularly convenient for iPhone and iPad users who can download a free app which will allow them to watch the show easily on their shiny Apple gadgets. Those who download the app will also be in with a chance to win tickets to the gig (not that that's much use to those of us here in Ireland), submit questions for the band to answer as well as chatting with other fans throughout the gig. And if you happen to be busy while the gig's on, you'll be able to watch it in full the next day with post-gig footage and fan reactions.
To download the Man Alive App visit www.everything-everything.co.uk, where non-iPhone/iPad users can also stream the gig in its entirety live on December 15th.
