Not just any egyptian lover, of course, but THE Egyptian Lover, aka Greg Broussard, whose music proved a key component in the rap and dance/electronic scene of Los Angeles in the 1980s.
He's still considered top-class entertainment and his DJing skills on a turntable and an 808 drum machine have to be seen to be believed. Joining him will be MC Jamie Jupiter.
He's playing The Grand Social on Paddy's Day; doors are 9pm and admission is a measly €5.
