Well, this is one way to keep your impending nuptials private.
Ed Sheeran has reportedly applied for planning permission to Suffolk Coastal District Council to build a chapel on the grounds of his home in East Anglia.
The ginger singer recently got engaged to Cherry Seaborn and it looks like he might be planning to get married to her in his own chapel, if reports are to be believed. That said, it looks like it would be an intimate affair if that were the case, as the proposed chapel would have room for just 24 people, with some overspill space in the gallery.
The application - which will be decided in April - claims that “it is every person’s right to be able to have a place of retreat for contemplation and prayer, for religious observance, celebration of key life and family milestones, marriages, christenings and so forth” and that it would made of flint and in a Saxon style with a round tower.
He'd also need a wedding licence if he were to be married there.
