He smashed streaming records with his recent singles 'Shape of You' and 'Castle on the Hill', so really, it's no surprise that Ed Sheeran's new album has been equally successful on that front.
Released last Friday, 'Divide' is pretty much a dead-cert to be one of 2017's biggest-selling albums - and one of the year's most-streamed albums, too.
Spotify released figures relating to Friday's release, and it turns out that the album obliterated The Weeknd's previously-held 'Most streams in one day' record with an incredible 56,727,861 streams. The Weeknd's previous title was 29 million+.
What's more, Sheeran also broke his own record for the 'most streamed song in one day', as 'Shape of You' was streamed over 10 million times on Friday alone - beating his previous record of 7.9 million.
Album track 'Galway Girl' also hit #1 in Ireland on Friday - although the reaction to that song, at least amongst Irish audiences, have been mixed.
In any case, it looks like Adele has competition in the 'crazy sales/streaming figures' stakes.
Lovely seeing all the reactions to the record. Keep sharing x
