Yesterday, we brought you news of a fan campaign to get Eagles of Death Metal's cover of 'Save a Prayer' to number one following their inadvertent involvement in Friday's attacks in Paros.
Now, Duran Duran have released a statement saying that they will donate any proceeds that they earn from the song - originally released by them in 1982 - to charity.
Lead singer Simon Le Bon said that the band were considering "various options that are useful, peaceful & uniting."

The Facebook page for the campaign has attracted over 12,000 people so far, and NME reports that the song has entered the UK singles chart at number 96 in the midweek count.
Eagles of Death Metal and Duran Duran recently performed the song together on TFI Friday just a couple of weeks ago, which you can see below:
