Reports have emerged this afternoon which suggest that country music legend Dolly Parton will take the Sunday evening 'Legends' slot at the UK's most famous music festival next summer.

The Sun reports that Parton (67) will make her first ever festival appearance at Worthy Farm while being in the UK that weekend for her Blue Smoke world tour (which is also taking in Irish dates, incidentally) and will be helicoptered to the festival.

A "source" close to Parton commented, saying: "Dolly is perfect for the Sunday Legends slot. It didn't take any convincing - she's always wanted to play Glastonbury".

Last year's Legends Slot was taken by Kenny Rogers. Arcade Fire and Lily Allen are the only two confirmed performers so far for Glastonbury 2014.
