If you're a fan of Alanis Morissette, and in particular her 1995 album 'Jagged Little Pill', it's good news for you. Very good news, in fact.
The album is being made into a musical, with the book (story) written by Diablo Cody (Juno, Young Adult) and with music, obviously, by Morissette.
The show will debut in Cambridge, Massachussetts in May 2018 and will be directed by Tony Award-winning Diane Paulus.
In a statement, Morissette said: "The team that has come together for this Jagged Little Pill musical is my musical theater dream come true. The chemistry between all of us is crackling and I feel honored to be diving into these songs again, surrounded by all of this searing talent. Diablo and Diane are already taking these deeply personal songs that are part of my soul's marrow to a whole other level of hope, freedom and complexity."
Songs from the Canadian musician's third album include some of her biggest hits, like 'Ironic', 'You Oughta Know', 'Head Over Feet', 'Hand In My Pocket' and 'You Learn'. The album has sold an estimate 33 million copies worldwide since its release.
