French electro producer DJ Mehdi died yesterday in Paris (September 13th) at the age of 34 after falling through a plexiglas mezzanine, it has been revealed. The DJ, full name Mehdi Faveris-Essadi, was holding celebrations for the birthday of fellow hip-hop artist Riton. Three other people were injured in the incident.
A host of DJ Mehdi's contemporaries have been taking to Twitter to voice their condolences. Groove Armada tweeted: "One of the loveliest men I have ever met. Massive condolences to his family." Chromeo said: “We lost our brother. No words.", while Example was quoted as saying: “RIP Mehdi. What a lovely fella he was”.
