Demi Lovato's screen time on the US network Fox is set to snowball, as it has been confirmed that the singer and X-Factor judge will join Glee for the show's fifth season.
Lovato will play Dani, a struggling artist friend of Lea Michelle's character Rachel and it has been revealed the she will share several songs with fellow newcomer (and reality TV star) Adam Lambert, who joined the cast last month.
Lovato's turn on Glee will debut on October 3rd in the US, which will be the second part of a Beatles tribute and she'll appear in at least six episodes of the season. Her work on popular reality TV show The X-Factor won't be compromised by her new role. In fact, Fox broadcasts The X-Factor as the lead in show to Glee on Thursday nights, so US telly addicts will be getting a pretty substantial Lovato dose over the course of the next few months, whether they like it or not.
Lovato and Lambert's addition to the cast will likely be the Glee's producers attempt to offset any downturn in ratings following the tragic death of cast member Cory Monteith earlier this summer.
